The dolls even talk and move and offer responses to the owners. I was horrified! What I found even more concerning is that people can program these dolls to have real life sexual needs. Of course, the dolls are not programmed to think for themselves, but the idea was still astonishing to me.
It made me wonder if this was something that people thought was okay – to treat a doll as if were a real person. I mean, if I had a baby doll, I wouldn’t think of it as a real person.
